Veridak ("Veridak", "we") is committed to protecting the personal information it collects in accordance with Quebec's Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Act 25) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

2. Information collected

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:

  • Expert application form: full name, email, phone number, area of expertise, professional title, professional order membership status and number, years of experience, availability, salary expectation, languages, LinkedIn profile, résumé/CV in PDF, DOC or DOCX format, and referral source.
  • Contact form: name, email, subject, and message.

3. Purposes of collection

Your information is used for the following purposes:

  • Evaluate your application and professional qualifications
  • Contact you about collaboration opportunities
  • Manage our professional relationship
  • Respond to your inquiries
  • Improve our services and website (anonymized analytics data)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Consent

Your personal information is collected only with your explicit consent, obtained at the time of form submission. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at info@veridak.ca. Withdrawal of consent will result in the deletion of your information from our systems within 30 days.

5. Data retention

Your personal information is retained for the following periods:

  • Expert applications: 24 months from the date of submission, unless an active collaboration is ongoing.
  • Résumés/CVs: 24 months, then automatically deleted.
  • Contact requests: 12 months after the last exchange.

You may request deletion of your data at any time before these periods expire.

6. Data hosting and transfers

Your personal information is stored on the following servers:

  • Supabase: database and file storage (CVs), hosted in Canada (ca-central-1 region, Montreal).
  • Vercel: website hosting. Static pages are served via a global content delivery network (CDN). Data submitted through forms may transit through servers located in the United States before being stored in our Canadian database.
  • Resend: transactional email service. Notification emails transit through servers in the United States.

In accordance with Act 25, we inform you that some of your information may be transferred and temporarily processed outside Quebec (United States) by our service providers. These transfers are governed by contractual agreements ensuring an adequate level of protection.

7. Cookies and analytics

This site uses:

  • Essential cookies: required for the site to function (language preferences, cookie consent). No consent required.
  • Google Analytics: a traffic analysis service provided by Google LLC (United States). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized data about your use of the site (pages visited, visit duration, referral source). This data is transferred to and processed by Google in the United States. This cookie is only activated with your consent. You may refuse or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie banner.

8. Your rights

Under Act 25, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right of rectification: have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
  • Right of deletion: request the deletion of your personal information.
  • Right to withdraw consent: withdraw your consent to the collection and processing of your data.
  • Right to portability: receive your information in a structured and commonly used format.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, and modification. Access to your data is limited to individuals who need it in the course of their duties.

10. Privacy incident

In the event of a privacy incident presenting a risk of serious harm, Veridak commits to notifying the affected individuals and Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) in accordance with Act 25 requirements.

We may modify this policy from time to time. The date of the last update is indicated at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it regularly.
